WHO WE ARE
WabiStyle (wabistyle.co) is run by Oscar Hillyard in the United Kingdom. We’re the data controller for the personal information described here. Contact: wabistyle.co@gmail.com.
WHAT WE COLLECT
- Mystery box sign-ups: your name, email, waist and leg measurement, wear preference and country.
- Wholesale enquiries: your name, email, business name, country, approximate quantity and what you’re looking for.
- Orders: your name, delivery and billing address, email, phone number (if given) and what you bought. Payments are handled by PayPal – we never see or store your full card details.
- Emails you send us: whatever you choose to include.
- Website usage: pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location and how you arrived, collected by Google Analytics. Our host also keeps standard technical logs, such as IP addresses, for security.
WHY WE USE IT
- To reply to you and handle enquiries – because you asked us to (steps before a contract) or our legitimate interest in answering trade enquiries.
- To tell you when mystery boxes open – because you registered for it. Every email lets you unsubscribe, and you can reply “unsubscribe” at any time.
- To process, deliver and support orders – to perform our contract with you.
- To keep tax and accounting records – because the law requires it.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it – our legitimate interest, and your consent where cookies require it.
We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use it for automated decisions about you.
WHO WE SHARE IT WITH
Only the services needed to run the shop:
- Namecheap (EasyWP) – website hosting
- Google – email (Gmail), website analytics (Google Analytics) and search tools
- PayPal – payments
- Royal Mail and other couriers – delivery of your order
- Accountants or authorities – where the law requires it
Some of these providers store data outside the UK, including in the USA. Where they do, they use legally recognised safeguards such as the UK–US data bridge or standard contractual clauses.
HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
- Mystery box sign-ups: until you unsubscribe, or 12 months after the last email we send you.
- Wholesale enquiries and general emails: up to 2 years after our last contact.
- Orders and financial records: 6 years, as required for UK tax.
- Analytics data: up to 14 months.
COOKIES
The site uses cookies that are needed for it to work, such as remembering your basket, checkout and login. We also use Google Analytics cookies to count visits and see which pages are used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings – essential cookies are needed for checkout to work.
YOUR RIGHTS
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to: give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or move it to someone else. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email wabistyle.co@gmail.com and we’ll respond within one month.
If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We’d appreciate the chance to sort it out first.
